Problem every time I restart OS X Lion host

Post by blumpy »

Hello everyone,

I have been getting this message:

NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x800004005)

and as well in a separate alert box:

Kernel driver not installed (rc=-1908)

This started happening about 2 or 3 months ago with all the VM's on this machine (Debian and various versions of Windows). All has been working fine before that for probably probably a couple of years (as far as I can remember)....

Now, If I re-install Virtualbox, everything gets fixed and works....however, if I reboot the host, the errors all comes back and yet I can fix the problem by reinstalling Virtualbox once more.

Currently on 4.1.8 r75467

TL;DR - I need to reinstall Virtualbox everytime I restart my Mac otherwise I get errors and can't boot my VMs.

Any ideas?
