Please. I'll pay for help!

Post by TroyBWilliams »

I'm not trying to get money so I think I am conforming to the forum rules.

Who do I contact and/or pay to set up an appointment to have a screen-sharing session where that person can just resolve my issue. I need it done asap.

Problem: Windows crashes when trying to open.
VB version 4.1.8 r75467
Host: OSX-Lion
Guest: Windows XP

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm using Virtual Box 4.1.6 r74713 on my desktop without a problem but it is not working on my laptop.
Thanks for your attention.
Windows goes into an opening screen within VB Vm, then I get a full black screen, than I am returned to the VB manager window.
I do not know anything else. I apologize for being naive on this forum with those with more knowledge than me. This is why I need someone to screen-share; so that person can diagnose the problem themselves and fix it right away by taking control of my mouse.
OBTW - "Repairing Disk Permissions" and "Verifying Disk Permissions" did not work.
I enabled the IO APIC as suggested in the above link in the previous message by vbox4me2.
Same problem. Nothing has changed.
I don't know what "VDI" stands for. I most likely used the Windows XP install disc. I haven't tried a reinstall yet.
I tried to do a reinstall but I don't know how to do it. I don't even remember how I installed it on my two computers in the first place.
Bottom line: I don't know what I am doing so I am asking who do I contact and/or pay to set up an appointment to have a screen-sharing session where that person can just resolve my issue? I do not know what I am doing.
Before anyone can help you, you're going to need a XP CD or DVD with a valid product key and be able to read the contents (so test this on your mac if you can see files on the cd/dvd). Without it you can't install anything.
Yes sir.
I have a valid Win98 and a valid WinXP update disc that updates the 98 to XP. I have valid/legitimate product keys.
