USB trouble XP guest on Mac OS X Lion host
Posted: 16. Jan 2012, 12:25
All,
I do not seem to be able to get USB working. Guest = Windows XP SP3. Host = Mac OS X 10.7.2. VirtualBox = 4.1.6. Extension pack 4.1.6 installed as well.
I have a device filter in my virtual machine. This concerns a colorimeter (Datacolor Spyder2).
I do not have administrative privileges on my system.
If VirtualBox is running but the VM is not, VBoxManage list usbhost shows:
As soon as the VM starts up, this changes to:
Unfortunately, XP does not see the Spyder. Also, hovering with my mouse over the connections icon in the lower right corner, it says "No USB devices attached". So I guess that's where it goes wrong! Suggestions? Thanks!
