Why my guest CPU does not support VT

Post by f6un9i »

Following is my environment:

Host: OS: WIN7 64 bits
CPU: Intel Core i5 480M
Memory: 8GB

Guest: OS: WIN7 64 bits
Memory: 1512MB

I have checked VT check box for the Guest.

When I run the Intel Processor ID utility on host, it shows that the host

CPU support VT. But when I run the utility on guest, it shows that the

guest CPU does not support VT.

How can I get VT for my Guest.

Thanks.

You cant run a virtualizer in a virtualizer. For what else do you need VT in a guest?

It's used (if selected) by the host to run the VM.

For example without VT the guest cannot have more than one cpu and no 64 bit.
