New Release 4.0.16?

Post by jwttech »

I was just notified by filehippos update checker that the latest version is 4.0.16. Since the previous version was 4.1.8 I am wondering if the build number was a mistake or if that was an update for people still using 4.0 and would be considered a downgrade for anyone on 4.1....

There are a few branches that have, what they call it, a long term support. This means that bugs are fixed in that branch. It is a downgrade if you are already on 4.1. It is done for people who cannot upgrade to 4.1 or don't want to, for various reasons. 3.2 got an update long after 4.0 was released too.
