Windows XP problem

Hi people I need help with my virtualbox.

For start: My English is not very good, so I beg you for your understanding.

I have a virtual box installed on the MAC OS X 10.6.8. I have two quests systems (WinXP and Win7).

I have a problem with WinXP. I can not run the system writes me this error:

It appears that the "WinXP.xml" file in your VM folder has been damaged. You could post it as an attachment here if you would like me to take a look at it.

Another thing you could try is to look for a file called "WinXP.xml-prev" in the same folder. This is the last version of the same file. You could try renaming this file to "WinXP.xml" and see if that helps. I would recommend that you back up the VM folder first, however that may be complicated if you are still using the old v3.x folder layout (the .xml suffix implies a v3 VM).

You're perfect, you saved me . I tried renaming the older version of the prev-winxp.xml winxp.xml and it works.

Before that I tried to change the layman some value in the file winxp.xml, but not specifically for my case and nothing ever changed.
Let me look into it wrong, and renewed at the same time let me see where the error was.

Once again, thank you very much. If I have a problem with virtualbox know where to go!

Post post large files as zipped attachments in future - it keeps the messages here more readable.

As to how the text was deleted, well, if you were editing it then almost certainly it was you, otherwise the coincidence is too great. Random corruption generally does not cleanly delete text, instead the existing text is altered in strange ways.

I deleted it so it definitely, the only thing I changed were 2 values ??from true to false and vice versa. Nothing else I've done.

Sorry, from this remote location I have no direct evidence, I can only go by probabilities. You edited a file, the same file ended up with incorrect content. I find that to be too much of a coincidence.
