Hi All,
I have an issue on hard disk space in my VM, the virtualbox version using is 4.1.8
the growth of content in the VM required me to expand the VHD (from 40GB to 150GB)
I had run the command as below to modify the hard disk to larger space, and yet the hard disk space still remain the same.
VBoxManage modifyhd "PATH" --resize 150000
the command above successfully resize the VHD (refer attachment img1.png).
but after I run the VM and notice the hard disk space remain the same (refer attachment img2.png)
it not allow me to paste file size larger than the free space (in my case 5.71GB)
any solution for this? thank you in advanced.

Re: Expand VHD not working
Asked and answered too many times: enlarging a disk does not affect the filesystem on the disk. To affect the latter you need to use a partitioning tool. Vista+ has a built in disk partitioning tool, I'm not sure if Win2K8 does - if in doubt you can always use a gparted live CD iso.
