Hello!
I installed VirtualBox 4.1.8 on my PC and made a Windows XP Virtual Machine to get my HP Scanjet 3400c working since the last available driver for it is for Windows XP. When I install the scanner for the 1st time and use it, it works just fine. The problem lies in the succeeding times, it won't work anymore. I have to uninstall and re-install the scanner to use it again and on and on. Has anybody encountered the same problem, even with another form of hardware, and found a solution? Can you please share how you solved the problem? It will be very much appreciatead.
Thanks!

Have ou installed the VBOX Extension Pack and have you checked USB-Filters in the guest settings?

Hi Stefan,
Yes, I've installed both Extension Packs and USB-Filters. In fact, the guest detects the plugged-in scanner, even if it won't work.
