Usb Devices
I installed virtualbox 4.1.8 and used it to install windows xp pro with sp3 and every time i plug in my flash drive virtualbox wants to install virtualusb driver and then i loose usb mouse support. So what i want to do is plug in usb flash drives and have windows xp pro with sp3 guest os just load them so i can use them and not have to install virtualusb driver everytime i plug in a usb flash drive and loose my usb mouse. It will be different usb flash drives and different usb port. I have two usb ports in the front of the computer that i will be useing. Is there a way to do that ?

Re: Usb Devices
The USB filter driver is required. It must be installed on your host to intercept USB messages and redirect them to your VM. If this driver is present then the host gets them all and the VM sees nothing.
To ensure that that VM grabs the correct device, add a filter to the USB section of your VM. Edit the filter so that it matches your flash drive and not your mouse (i.e. don't use a blank filter).
