Windows XP Guest - Shader problem

Hey guys,

I've been trying to run a game on Windows XP guest. Installed the newest version of virtualbox, and extension pack. Then ran safe mode and installed the guest pack. Updated DirectX, but then I try to run my game it says "shader init cannot initialize", so I guess there's still no 3D support? Or what? What could I do to fix this?

I'm trying to run this:
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines

1.2 GHz Athlon or 1.2 GHz Pentium III, or higher; 384 MB of RAM, Quad-Speed CD-ROM, 3.3 GB uncompressed hard disk space and 1.4 GB for Windows swap file, 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible videocard; 16-bit sound card and drivers

Thanks for the help.

If 3D is checked in the guest settings and the guest additions are installed, then there is noting you can do.

2D and 3D are selected both.. Through propreties though still the Virtualbox graphics adapter shows, not my NVIDIA card.

In a VM there is never native hardware. VMs are not made for gaming. Use dual boot for this.

Thanks for the info, well I've saw that some people run games quite fine, and this is an old one, I guess I will need to, cause wine doesn't do good either. If anyone will get any more info on this, please tell me, thanks. Thank you also for the answers.
