Hello,
I have the same problem. I can't connect a usb key or usb drive: I eject it in osx host, choose it in usb devices. It doesn''t appear and is not checked in the usb devices list. Then, If I try again, I got a NS_ERROR_CALL and a few times after, I get no usb devices listed..
Moreover, I can't shutdown the machine, I get a NS_ERROR_CALL_FAILED (0x800706BE) (but I can untill windows is started..)
Here are the outputs:
MacBook-Pro:~ joseph$ VBoxManage list extpacks

(even when I get no usb devices in the list)
I also tried uninstalling, reinstalling, etc..
Just my 2 cents, because I really love this software
