Hi,
I run Mac OS X 10.7, with vbox 4.1.8 r75467. I have a 64 bit Ubuntu 11.10 guest. I mount a vboxsf partition in linux, mount reports:
julian on /home/julian/macos type vboxsf (rw,uid=1000,gid=1000)
This is a permanent shared folder which is neither read only nor automounted, as I set the gid in my /etc/fstab:
julian /home/julian/macos vboxsf auto,rw,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0
I am logged in as julian (uid=1000, gid=1000) and from a shell:
$ mv old_folder_name/ new_folder_name/
At this point the files in new_folder_name become inaccessible until I either umount and mount the fs again or rename the folder back to the original name.
I'm assuming that this isn't the intended behaviour.
