Hello,

I am new to VirtualBox but I am wanting to have an image startup as soon as Windows boots, as I have a Windows server with VB installed that has a Linux image containing an IDS.

Thanks
For any help

Look for GPO and startup scripts. Then make sure the script starts under the right user context. I've ran a Linux VM during my IPv6 project do route IPv6 traffic on a 2008 R2 Host, so it's nothing special. Just takes a bit of trial and errors.

It's a good idea to make a shutdown part too, where you put the VM in saved state. Shutting down the VM may take too long and can get a force close.
