VERR_INVALID_PARAMETER

I just moved a VB Ubuntu 10.x guest to a MacBook Pro (OS-X Lion, with an SSD for OS, and an eSATA drive for data, 8GB RAM)

I copied the folder content to a secondary hard drive (installed in place of the Superdrive CD/DVDROM drive). When I add this guest machine to the VB app, it gives me error when I start it up:

Failure to open a session for the virtual machine lvm03.
Could not open the medium
'/Volumes/25/Documents/lvm03/lvm01.vmdk' (VERR_INVALID_PARAMETER).

Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

When I continue, the guest is aborted and I'm back at the VB ( v4.1.8 ) application window.

Here's a twist to this; when I copy this entire guest folder to the desktop and add the machine, and start the guest OS, it runs fine. Its only when I move it elsewhere is when it doesn't run and gives me this error message.

I have checked permissions and they are the same in both locations. Any suggestions on how to fix this please?
