Hi,
I am running 1.4.0 on a Windows XP host. I have setup two virtual machine guests 1) XP server 2003 2) XP Pro
I have configured the XP Server guest as a domain controller, but the XP guest can't jojn it as there is some kind of DNS error. I am using bridged networking and the 'host interface' option.
Is this kind of setup possible? I am assuming it is a network problem somewhere.
Thanks, in advance.

You can do this on two ways.
1: You use the HIF function, creating a bridge on the Host so the VMs can see each other through the Hosts network (your physical does not have to be a part of the bridge, unless you want to access the internet from the bridge too). Set the proper IP configuration on both machines and you should be done.
2: Use Internal Networking. This will isolate the Guest network from the Host. Run the dcpromo wizard, install everything that is needed (including DNS) and set static addresses on both Guests, pointing the DNS to the W2k3 machine. Gateway should only be used if you route internet from the server to the Guest.
