Hope you can give me a hand with this.
I usually add the MS Loopback adapter on my host, then share either the cabled or wireless NIC using Windows Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) over to the Loopback adapter, and have my VM guests running with bridged adapters to the Loopback adapter.
I usually have Windows Domain Controllers guests, so I need the VM to point to itself as the DNS server, and use DNS forwarding to the IP address of the Loopback adapter, as well as default gateway to the same address.
This has worked for me for years, allowing me to either connect or disconnect my VM guests from the Internet by enabling/disabling ICS.
Unfortunately, it stopped working recently, I believe after upgrading to the latest VirtualBox version.
DNS resolution does work, but Internet browsing doesn't.
Could you please advice on how to troubleshoot this?
