XP networking

Post by machsixer »

Hello board. I have cloned (via the clone tool in VB) my windows XP installation. I would like to network these two windows xp installations between each other. Similar to as if I had two pc's sitting on a table with a switch connecting them.

Eventually I would like to install Server 03 and set up an experimental domain but figure this, allegedly simple, 2-workstation virtual network would be a good start.

Can someone give me the steps involved to accomplish this? I have Max OS X Lion as my host and the latest version of VB.

Thanks in advance everyone!

Use bridged mode (for now) if there is a router in the LAN or use host-only if not with a second adapter set to NAT if the Internet is needed in the guests.
As for the server and domain issues we can cover that when you have the need.

See Chapter 6 in your VirtualBox users manual.
