Host: Mac 10.6.8
VB Graphical User Interface: v4.1.8r75467
Guest: Windows 7 - Ultimate - 64bit
with VirtualBox 4.1.8 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack installed.

First, I'm totally new to working with VB. Just downloaded it yesterday.

The problem:

Windows 7 screen is non-dynamic. It won't change when I go to re-size VirtualBox's window. The Windows of Apps running on W7 work fine. It's just that the W7 VM stays one size no matter how I re-size VirtualBoxe's window.

Anyone have suggestions or comments? Please, make your replies simple. For example, I'm not savvy enough to use the Terminal or anything in the high-techy department.

Thank you for your time. Standing by.

PS: I tried to do a search, came up with over 10,000+ responses.

Yeah baby! Problem solved! Apparently, I installed incorrectly. I won't get into those details.

Here's how I found the solution:

Went to BIG "G" (Google) and typed the following:
how do i adjust the Window 7 virtual machine window in Virtual Box runnig Mac

Found the following link: (sorry can't post URLs. Just signed up an hour ago.
you'll find website called "GuidingTech" click on their link.

When you get to the website scroll down to...
6. Guest Additions (or Drivers)

Super simple instructions. In Virtual Box VM menu > Devices > (click on) Install Guest Additions...the rest will be a wizard that helps you set things up.

The Results:
Trackpad pointer is smoother
W7 VM will move and re-size whenever I re-size VB's window.

Sweet. :D VB, performance wise is waay faster than my Parallels v7.something.something.

Hope this helps others who may be having the same problem.
