USB speed change on active/inactive window?

Post by rap78 »

Hi Users

I have Virtualbox (binary) installed on Kubuntu 7.10 and as Guest, WinXP.

I have a 3D-Mouse (Spacetraveler from 3DConnexion) for a CAD-System.

If I start the driver and the CAD-System (all in the guest-system), then the moves from the 3D-Mouse ist very (!) slow (about 1 move each 10seconds). But if I open the tasksymbol from the 3D-Driver and stay this window activ (in front of the CAD), then it seems to receive the moves in realtime and the part is rotating as usual.

I tried also to stay open the driver-window and to focus the CAD, but then it is still very slow...

I thought, Virtualbox prior the sampling-frequency of the active window to speed up their programs, but in this situation, it should read as fast as activ window, else, it's not possible to use the 3D-Mouse...

Any ideas are welcome... or has someone the same problem?
Greetings, raphael
