I have finally managed to share my windows 7 c/: drive as folder and can see it in media folder on zorin Linux but I cannot access it as little x on folder
I have shared the drive in windows to everyone
Is it a root problem in linux as I'm not signed in as root
Please note I am a complete novice with virtualbox and linux

Sharing the root folder of the host is a big no-no (not to be confused with "root user" in Linux). Is there a particular reason you need to expose the whole of your host to tampering?
