OK, so I am trying a VM for my very first time and decided to try using ORACLE. My scenario is simple (I think). I have a PC with winXP SP3 as my host. I want to create a VM running WIN7 as the guest. I launch VIRTUAL BOX for the very first time, and went through the 'first time wizard' and accepted all of the defaults. When it told me to load the guest operating system, I loaded the WINDOWS 7 DISC that I get with my MSDN subscription into my disc drive. I then get an error message from ORACLE that reads "FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted".
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!!

Did you select to use the CD/DVD in the storage section of the guest settings?

actually, I landed up figuring out the problem. I chose the option to upgrade instead of install from scratch during the WIN7 install process. I restarted and selected to install from scratch, and all it went well!!!
