Hi All,

I have installed Windows 7 in Virtualbox. I am new to MAC as of today :D

I need microsoft project for my work so had to use windows. I didnt want to reboot every time so decided to go virtual machine route.

I am now trying to install project onto windows system with no joy and neither will any other programs. I mount the host drive then insert CD and neither autorun or setup work it says cannot continue as required file is corrupted or unavailable, Run setup from original source disk or download location.

Any help much appreciated :) I have installed the guest elements but unsure if I have done that correctly.

Cheers,

Colin

Enable passthrough for the CD/DVD in the storage section of the guest settings.

I don't know what a guest element is but if you are talking about the guest additions, they are installed in the guest.

Thanks for the prompt reply. When i select my host cd/dvd the passthrough option is not available to click (assume I have something else setup wrong?

Cheers

The guest needs to be shut down, not running or saved state.
