What's the latest on Multi-Core CPU support?

Hi all,
Apologies if this has been covered ad infinitum before, but I'm running VirtualBox on a Core 2 Duo on Lion & VitualBox seems to max out one core but not use the other.
Is VirtualBox able to fully utilise multiple cores, or is it limited to one / one per VM ?
