Age of Empire 2 - LAN with XP guest

I'm trying to play multiplayer with my friends who are all running Windows 7 PC's. My setup is OS X Lion, VB 4.1.6 and Windows XP SP3 guest running the exact same expansion of AOE as my friends. One of my friends crates a host network that I connect to in OS X. The problem is that I can't find any games when I select LAN inside AOE.
I have already turned off the firewall. Any sugestions?
