I have mulitiple virtualbox vmdk and they are over 2G
I would like to convert this virtual box to AMAZON AMI.

I am thinking of concatenate the disk into one big giant VMDK

How do I create one giant disk from muliple VMDK?

Convert this giant VMDK to Amazon using somethng like

VBoxManage internalcommands converttoraw myosimage.vdi myosimage.img

Is it an easier way?

Not enough info. However, reading between the lines it sounds like you have used the "split 2G flat" variant of VMDK, where the disk image is split into a bunch of files each exactly 2GB in size (that's binary: i.e. 2x1024^3, not 2x1000^3), and the disk as a whole has a fixed size. If you clone it you can select the format for the clone. Just don't select "fixed" and "split2g" if that isn't what you want.
