Device can not start (error 10) when Installing any driver

Hello,
I was trying to install a USB PIC programmer board device, and when i select the driver manually ('cause it does the same when automatic driver installation is chosen) it attempt to install the driver but then the error 10 (Device cant start) shows up, when trying to install the sound card device does the same.
My PC OS is Windows 7 64-bit, VB guest OS is Windows XP 32-bit using VB 4.1.6. I really need to solve this issue cause that board i'm trying to install doesn't work on W7 and is my most important working tool. Something i tried was plugging the USB device (on the VB menu) and try to update the driver, then while in the process of the driver installation unplug the USB device (on the VB menu) and it did install the driver BUT the device doesn't work anyway hehe.
