Hi,
VirtualBox has been installed on Fedora 8. I am trying to launch a *.vdi saved on my Synology DS107e Disk Station (NAS) mounted during the boot session (command line included in my fstab file) but I unfortunately get the above mentionned error message.
Anybody would be able to give me a hint ?

Re: VBox status code: -38 (VERR_ACCESS_DENIED)
I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 on a Dell Inspiron 1525n.
I've an external HD (Western Digital Passport) with a ext3 partition created when the Passport was attached to a Dell Inspiron E1505 running Kubuntu 7.10.
The vdi was created using VirtualBox 1.5.x.
The version of VirtualBox running on the 1525 is 1.6.2.
I can't load the vdi on the Passport, even though I updated the permissions.
The error message is "Failed to register the hard disk"
Obviously I can create a new one, but that would take an excessive amount of time and the vista image is exactly the way i want it.
