I am new in the world of virtualbox and VMs. I am using a USB scientific CCD camera. The USB camera was installed in windows XP PC and the drivers were homemade for XP windows. The computer was crashed and now we are using a new one with windows 7 64bit. The USB drivers cannot be installed to Win7 thus I installed a WinXP virtual machine in order to place the drivers in the VM. However when I plug the camera is recognised by Win7 and I cannot pass the control to VM. Is there a way to operate the USB ports directly by VM?

Re: USB driver for CCD
Use Google with search terms "USB" and "site:forums.virtualbox.org". Internal search does not work for three letter words, which is why your earlier searches may not have found anything.
