I'm having an issue with installing Virtual Box, upon attempting to install a notice comes up saying

'Another installation is in progress, you must complete that installation before continuing this one'.

However i have installed other programs since this message coming up, so i don't know whats going on

Have you restarted your machine (host) after installations?

yes, on multiple occasions and i tried the microsoft forums but their help was next to useless as all the things that they said should be there weren't
