Install Server 2003 from exe

Post by triboelectricity »

Sorry for what is an idiotic question but I'm a novice. I have Virtualbox installed on Windows 7 & as part of my course I get free software from MSN Academy. So I downloaded their free copy of Server 2003 which comes in the form of an .exe. My (idiotic) question is given that this is neither an iso or a disk, how do I install it on Virtual box?

Maybe a self deflating archive?

Open file on host and look what happens.

Thanks Stefan. Not sure exactly sure what that is BUT I think it's what I just did, and it worked...if that makes sense :-))

Sorry - that was an appallingly phrased reply by me! What I meant to say was there was a set-up .exe and an archive in the download from MS academy, so instead of clicking on the set-up exe, I browsed to the archive through the virtualbox and it worked :-) :-) Thanks again Stefan :-)
