Error starting VM

Error starting virtual box

I am trying to run 2008 Server on VM Box
I am getting eoor 'FATAL:NO bootable medium found! System Halted'

I created two different modes XP and Linux 2.6 but everytime same error


base system is win 7 ,InTEL T2390 1.87 gb hdd ,2 GB rAM

PLEASE HELP

If you have a working disk image then you need to attach it to the VM. Otherwise you need to attach an install CD ISO and install a guest OS.

thanks for reply...could you advice me how to attach iso?
I donot have any guest cd sofware..where can I get this?

you can add that image at the Harddisk controll Tab
Only add there a CD Drive and then you can select the ISO as CD
At the start of the VM the CD image (if Bootable) will be chosen

Your sources of operating system and application software are the same for your virtual PC as they are for your physical PC. Linux OS ISOs are freely downloadable, and there's the time limited evaluations as in the Win2K8 download you found. If you have spare (unused) Windows licenses kicking around then these may also be used, and of course you can buy them too.
