Problem with starting application

Hi,
I am using an application called iSite through work, the application is an iDirect company application. I am testing out if I can run this application through Linux, using Wine, but that did not work. Last known version is iSite12.
The funny thing is:
When I try to run this application from a regular PC running XP SP3, I have absolutely no problems. I don't even have to run it as administrator.
When running the application from a Virtual box running XP, the application fails to initialize (for your record, I have even tested out using VMWare player and the same thing happens there). The only thing I have discovered so far, is that when I right click the files (all related to the program) and go to properties, the files seems to be "locked", but when I remove the Read Only, and unlock all files, ensure I run it as Administrator and make sure I have read/write (and even root priviliges in Linux as host), the application still won't initialize....
Any suggestions here would be highly appreaciated!
Thanks,
Arve Tengesdal
