Crash when shared folder is unavailable while booting guest

The title says it all. If a shared folder is unavailable while the guest is booting, VB crashes, either just before showing the login screen or after logging-in (can't really say because i have autologin enabled on the guest PC).

VB 4.1.6 with the relevant guest additions loaded. Host is Win7SP1 Ultimate. Guest is WinXP SP3.

Post a guests log file (as an attachment) of a failed boot.

When the shared folder is unavailable, a couple of windows open with warning messages about it. If this message is still open after the client has auto-loggedin, VB crashes. It just closes without any warning. I guess this happens when the additions are trying to mount the folder...

I assume these are the shared folders you are referring to. Explain just what these are mapped to.

They are mapped to folders on a removable USB HDD which was not mounted at the time.

I can't reproduce this error on any of my test machines.

You can post a ticket at bugtracker

You will need to setup a new account there as it is on a different system. Please provide the link to the ticket here so others can track this event, add information, and see the final results.
Don't forget to include the guests log file (as an attachment). They are very strict about that.

What i included was the logfile produced at the host. Is there also a logfile inside the guest machine?

What you attached here is the guests log file so that is what you should attach there as well. Be sure to be complete in your description there so they can figure out what it is you are actually trying to do and what is happening. They will ask for further information if required.
