I have been using virtualbox for a long time and it ahs always worked well. Now, today, when I try to launch it I get the following error:

The application will now terminate.
Start tag expected, '<' not found.
Location: 'C:\Users\Jack/.VirtualBox\VirtualBox.xml', line 1 (0), column 1.
D:\tinderbox\win-4.1\src\VBox\Main\src-server\VirtualBoxImpl.cpp[485] (VirtualBox::init).
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: VirtualBox

Have you rebooted the host?
What has changed since the last time the guest worked?

And my second question? What has changed since you last used the guest?
Files moved, updates, that kind of thing.

Re: Problem launching VirtualBox!! Please help!!! :(
It sounds like a corrupted .vbox file to me, in which case reinstalling or repairing the VBox program files folder will do nothing.
Make sure VirtualBox is fully shut down. Maybe even reboot the host to be sure. If you look in the VM folder you should find two files called <vmname>.vbox and <vmname>.vbox-prev. Delete the former and rename the latter (carefully) to the former. Then try it out.
