I have the Host Windows XP SP3, installed VirtualBox windows 4.1.6 r74713 and installed Guest OS Oracle Linux5.
The network is setup as Host-Only Adapter.
It works fine for the Guest being seen from the Host.
But once I connect to my work network via VPN, the Host-Only network fails to work. The Guest cannot be seen from the Host.
What does it seem problem? Is this expected behavior? Or Have I missed something?
TIA
Sean
Issue with Host Only Networking
Re: Issue with Host Only Networking
The vpn is effecting the host-only link, I think its expected behavior but not 100% sure. Could also be a vpn setting 'use default gateway on remote network'

Any thing similar I could try?

Re: Issue with Host Only Networking
Other then NAT and some port forwarding for the Host, not really.
