Folks,
I have a 2011 MacBook Pro 13-inch with a 250 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM, Core i7 dual-core with HT. When I try to install Windows 7 64-bit from the DVD, it loads the files then stops with an error suggesting that I choose the language first, before it even starts the GUI.
I have tried installing it as a SSD or SATA, changed memory and disk config, including video RAM, using VDI for the disk with no success at all. I always get the same error. Funny enough, the DVD is fine since I installed it on Parallels and VMWare Fusion with minor workarounds.
Any help would be much appreciated. I am new to this Forum and I am a network and data comm specialist, not a developer. I need this as a tool, not a toy.
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried enabling the passthrough on the virtual CD/DVD drive in the guest settings?
