Fullscreen / Seamless and multi-monitor
In a 2-monitor configuration (host), moving VBox to monitor 2 and then entering Fullscreen / Seamless modes should position the virtual environment in the active monitor. Instead, VBox always positions the virtual environment in monitor #1.

Re: Fullscreen / Seamless and multi-monitor
HI,
I had seen that with windows as host. Under linux as host I never had problems like this.

Yes, i forgot to mention that. I'm under Win7SP1 Ultimate as a host. I wonder if it has been registered as an issue and will be fixed in a later version...dmfhhp wrote:HI,

Re: Fullscreen / Seamless and multi-monitor
Guests always go to full screen and seamless on the primary monitor, unless told otherwise. To move the VM to another monitor, use the View menu in the mini-toolbar.

Re: Fullscreen / Seamless and multi-monitor
Ah, i see. Thanks for the info. I hadn't noticed that because i had disabled the mini-toolbar. Still, it seems more intuitive to put the full screen / seamless window on the same monitor where the normal window was before turning on full screen / seamless mode.Sasquatch wrote:Guests always go to full screen and seamless on the primary monitor, unless told otherwise. Re: Fullscreen / Seamless and multi-monitor
Hi,
there was a change in behavior between VB3 and VB4.
3 worked fine, with 4 and later I always had to move the VM to the right monitor. (Win XP as host and guest)

Re: Fullscreen / Seamless and multi-monitor
Well, it's not necessarily bad to have such an option, as long as by default it puts the full screen / seamless window on the same monitor where the normal window was before turning on full screen / seamless mode.dmfhhp wrote:Hi,

Re: Fullscreen / Seamless and multi-monitor
There was a reason they did it this way now, but I haven't looked into it. I'm sure they have a valid reason to do it.
