Hello everyone,

Am planning to buy a new Macbook Pro but was wondering if Virtual Machines run fine on a Mac Laptop? One of my frnd had a Macbook(maybe around 2-3 yrs old) and he told me that he was not able to run any VMs on the laptop he wasnt able to create one either.

Does anyone have any experience with it? Should I but a regular Mac instead? I'd rather buy a laptop so I can carry it around with the VM in it.

regards
Jesse

I've just installed VirtualBox 4.1.6 and Windows 7 onto my Macbook Air with no issues.

There was a bit of jiggery pokery to get the guest additions enabled in Win 7 (You have to run them in WinXP compatibility mode) but apart from that it all runs perfectly.

Find a friend who knows something about computers and how to create VMs.

Yes. As long as you have enough RAM for both the host and the guest.
