Problems with network

Hi,

I have just start to use virtualbox aging,

and now i having problems with my server's network, it is using a NAT but i want it to be a bridged adaptor, but when i go to select one there is none there.

please can you help me as this is my uni work on the line now.

i have also uploaded a screen shoot of what i get

During the installation did you change any of the defaults?
You can try installing again and select repair. Make sure that everything is going to be installed.

OK so open the device manager and look at the network section. Do you see any devices that have a warning?
Also you say that you are starting to use VirtualBox again, have yo installed any other virtualizer on the host?

Also read Chapter 12.5.5 Bridged networking adapters missing in your VirtualBox users manual and see if this helps your issue.

no this is the only one i use, i used it in the past but then i went to windows 7 64bit and i get this problem, and it the one i use at uni,

this is what my device manager looks like:

Thanks so much it now works!! :D

My problem was this:

You can try to increase the maximum ?lter count in the Windows registry at the following
key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\MaxNumFilters
The maximum number allowed is 14. After a reboot, try to re-install VirtualBox

after reading the manual bit you told me to look at.
