I have DBASE IV running on VM in win 7 32 & 64 bit machines. I had been using PrintFIL to print but it is acting funny so perhaps now that I have a XP vm installed and running I can simply use one of my printers again? They are network printers and work fine on my win7 host machine. I see no instrucs on how to install a printer in vm.... I sorta got something and maybe this is how to do it but it prints funny... I used the vm xp add network printer and just gave it the printers ip address, but of course the right driver is not listed in xp for it; if I search for the missing cd that came with the driver will it maybe work after all? I had hoped I could just point to the printer on my host machine and have it use its driver and be done with it..... sorry for my stupid questions...

Installing a network printer has nothing to do with VBOX. Search Google for Howtos for this topics.

A Little Tip:

with "net use lpt1 \\host\printer" you can simulate a lpt1 port with redirection to the network printer.
