Non Optinal setting question...

Post by grayfox »

I have just upgraded from a MacBookPro 2.4GHz C2D to the latest MacBookPro 2.5GHz i7
laptop.

I am running Fedora 15 as a guest.

When I upped the CPU count from 1 to 2 I get the non-optimal setting detected warning...

Could someone clue me in as to why I get this warning? ( the i7 has eight virtual processors :)

Thanks,

Jerry

The warning normally points you to the section that needs attention.
Given what you did I would check the io apic and make sure it is enabled.

Hmm, went back and checked and the warning was gone ( and io apic was checked, strange)

I sure wish that the wizards would fix VBox so that resuming from a saved state did not crash
on the Mac.
