Hi,
I'm using Virtual Box 4.1.4 on Mac Snow Leopard 10.6. I have WinXP and Ubuntu 11 as guests.
While creating my first virtual machine I put size 15GB then I discovered that this is not enough for winXP.
So, I was searching the internet for some info about how to resize exiting virtual machine.
But most of the available guides are either very complicated or very old.
I started to play in the options available in the latest release of VBox,
I clicked on FILE, then VIRTUAL MEDIA MANAGER, then clicked on my WinXP virtual Machine, Then clicked on the new MODIFY button (which wasn't there in previous versions and not included in the online tutorials yet), but then I didn't know what to do next?
I stopped at this message: "You are about to change the attributes of the virtual disk located in VirtualBox VMs/WindowsXp/WindowsXp.vdi. Please choose one of the following medium types and press OK to proceed or Cancel otherwise."
And these were the options given:
Normal (but you can't click it)
immutable
Writethrough
Shareable
Multi-attach
So, any ideas what to chose? and whether I will actually be able to resize the virtual machine using this option?
Thanks
Sam.

Hello,
This way won't let you change the disk size.
Read the manual about "vboxmanage modifyhd --resize".
