Shared folders windows 7 64 bit

Post by funkytwig »

Hi,

I have installed Windows 7 64 bit on version '4.1.4 r74291' of VirtualBox. I am running on a Mac Pro Desktop with Snow Leaped 10.6.8. I have set up Shared Folder in settings (permanent, auto mount) but cant see it from windows. I did some googeling and here seems to be a problem with Win7 64bit. Is this the case. Is there a workaround.

Delete the share and create it again. This time do not use auto-mount. If you want to map the share then do so manually.

See chapter 4.3.1 Manual mounting in your VirtualBox users guide.

Hint: if you place a -p at the end on the cli mount it will be persistent.
