Hello
I installed an Ubuntu VM a week or two ago. I set up my user account and installed some applications from a flash drive. We tested the apps within the VM in a terminal window and they ran fine.
I had gone thru steps to enable access to the USB ports on the OSX host, installed the apps from the flash drive, ran some of them, and had been working on enabling port forwarding for remote ssh. Having done the port forwarding setup within VB.
I shut down the VM and VirtualBox for a week or so and today just came back to it. Now when I start VB I then start my Ubuntu VM but instead of prompting me for my login it opens an "Install" window and asks me to either "Try Ubuntu" or "Install Ubuntu"
I do not want to do either. So I kill the window and I get an Ubuntu desktop with an "Examples" folder and a "Install Ubuntu 11.04" icon, without prompting me to login, and my installed apps are not there.
I am a bit confused.
Any idea what happened with my user account and the applications I installed?
Thanks

Remove the install media from the virtual CD/DVD.
