Creating a copy of XP and increasing the storage space

I have windows XP installed already with Virtualbox and running the latest edition (4.1.4) on my Mac (Snow Leopard). The Storage space in settings is 3.00 GB. On the first Virtual Machine, this is fine. But I'm attempting to clone this setup of Windows XP and creating a new Virtual Machine with Windows XP so I can install a different browser to view websites I'm building (namely attempting to install IE8 as the first Virtualbox has IE7). Unfortunately I'm not seeing how to increase the existing hard disk space from 3.0 GB. Do I have to do a completely new install of Windows XP as I'm not seeing the option to increase the disk space?
Thanks!

See Chapter 8 in your VirtualBox users guide.
Code: Select all
VBoxManage modifyhd <uuid>|<filename>
[--type normal|writethrough|immutable|shareable|
readonly|multiattach]
[--autoreset on|off]
[--compact]
[--resize <megabytes>|--resizebyte <bytes>]

After increasing the size of the virtual disk, the partition on the virtual disk will need to be resized.
The newer releases of following products (all free) can safely do so within Windows XP:

Best!

Do use VBoxManage clonehd first to make a clone of the VDI file, else VB will complain about a file with the same UUID that's already registered.
