how do I reduce the size of a Virtual Hard Disk from being a 20GB down to 10GB drive? is it possible?

Why would you want to do that? If your real concern is the space taken on the host, rather than the max capacity of the virtual drive, then what you need to do is delete unnecessary files inside the guest, then compact the drive: for the latter I recommend my CloneVDI tool (see sticky in Windows hosts forum).

In direct answer to your question, yes it would be possible to shrink the virtual size of a drive, by using gparted and then cloning the drive. But I doubt it's what you really want. Note that squashing the capacity of a drive may lead to congestion, fragmentation and performance problems.
