Does virtualbox have this feature?

Post by yuesko »

Hi all,

I am a new user of using virtualbox. I feel inconvenient when I install more than one virtual machines because I need to click on virtualbox icon on windows taskbar to display my running virtual machine and select the one i want.

Does virtualbox have a feature that i can select different virtual machines on tabs or something i can configure to make it more easily?

Thank You!

Sorry, VB uses a VM per window option where each VM has it's own window. Some like that, as they can have VMs next to each other, others like you prefer to have a tab like interface to easily switch between them. But rest assured, if you keep the VB GUI open in an easy to reach place, you can always click on a running VM and then use the button to Show the VM. But depending on your preference, that may be more work than moving the mouse to the task bar and click on the VM there.

You can also click on create shortcut on desktop.
You can even pin to the start menu. Just takes a little planning. First create to the desktop, then move to a folder in your home environment. drill to that and select to pin.
