Conflict between Applian and VirtualBox network drivers

This has already been brought to the attention of developers at Applian, see here, and I wish to do so here as well. You can see that I've already provided a temporary work around (under the same username) but I was hoping for something a little more permanent, perhaps a joint venture or some communication between the two software development teams?

It would seem that this problem may just affect Windows 7 users and possibly just those using x64 platforms, but don't take my word for it. If they run the latest versions of both VirtualBox and Replay Media Catcher (possibly some older versions as well) they will get a BSOD. If someone with this problem turns off their internet connection or disables their network card then the problem desists. Likewise if they disable either or both drivers on their internet connection (or uninstalls either or both drivers or software) the problem also stops.

Any chance of a fix or some help other than my work around? Thank you =]

I concure with there absolutely being an issue with applian network driver and the VBox driver. Have seen this issue on two different fresh loaded win7 64bit systems.

Abug report has been posted at ticket #10029 https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/10029

These kinds of problems that are reproducible should be reported to bugtracker. You will need to setup an account there as it is on a different system.
It would also help if you can post the ticket number here so other can see the progress, add information, or see the final results.

I would like to add this problem of BLUE SCREEEN OF DEATH is still happening. I have a new Dell XPS, Windows 7 64bit, i7/12gb/2TB. I've had virtual box installed for a month, VB version 4.1.18r78631. Today I installed Applian Media Suite and the computer started crashing blue screen of death after about 3 minutes.

I checked Applian suppport and they claim the bad network driver is virtualbox, not Applian. The Applian is a third party NDIS5 driver used in many software applications.

Has anyone found a workaround for this problem? For example, how can I temporarily disable the defective virtualbox driver when not using VB? I really need both important apps.
