I recently tried to install Interbase XE on windowsXP (SP3) running on Virtualbox. Which does not work.
Interbase is complaining about a missing dll. The DLL is present on the harddisk an the path variable points to the right folder.
I installed interbase XE on 100 (!) user WinXP PCs with varying patchlevels (min. SP3). Never did this issue occur, not once.
Every prior version of Interbase works just fine only interbase-XE install fails. I set up a completely new VM, to no avail.
Anyone with similar Prolbems?
Interbase XE installs Microsoft VC6 during the Database install... could this be a Problem?
