Hi;
I am new to virtual box and absolutely love the software.
I have had a Win XP Guest up and running for several weeks now, and after installing guest additions, the maximum screen resolution for the guest increased to match my laptop of 1600x900. Last night however, Windows Update kindly installed Service Pack 3 on my guest. After a reboot of the guest the maximum screen resolution I can achieve is now only 1024x768.
I have tried re-installing guest additions & Auto-resize guest display and am still having the problem.
Any ideas on how to fix this any why it has occurred would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards
Dave

Re: Low XP Screen Resolution after installing SP3
So you only took a look at the Display Properties? Did you try changing the window size?

Re: Low XP Screen Resolution after installing SP3
Is automatic resize enabled in the View menu? Press Host+G to toggle it. Then change the size of the window. If that changes the resolution, it's problem solved. If it doesn't, then you may have to remove the GA, reboot the Guest and install the GA again. Something might have gone wrong.
